What kind of coffee grind should I use with my EspressoWorks Machine?
We recommend purchasing pre-ground coffee, or grind it yourself. The grind should be fine, but not too fine or powdery. If the grind is too fine (feels like powder when rubbed between the fingers) the water will not flow properly and the espresso will not be optimal. When packing the coffee grind in the filter, be sure not to pack too tightly, as this will prevent the water to flow properly through the filter.
The filter is wet after brewing coffee. Is this normal?
This is normal; this is how we get the perfect crema.
How do I switch my coffee machine off?
The EspressoWorks machine has an in-built Auto-Off Function, and will turn itself off after 25 minutes of no usage, 25 minutes of continuous usage, or if the pump has been functioning continuously for 3 minutes.
Water is leaking from the bottom of the machine.

Water is leaking from the outer-side of the filter.
There is coffee grinds on the edge of the filter. Use a damp cloth to wipe away any residual coffee grinds. It also may be possible your machine needs a new silicone gasket, which can be sent out to you right away along with a very easy to replace instruction card. Please contact us at [email protected] if you are in need of this.
There is a slight taste of acidity in the espresso.
The power cable was not correctly plugged into the power outlet. Please plug the power cord into a wall outlet and if the machine still ceases to function, please contact us at [email protected].
The built-in steamer does not produce any milk froth.
Firstly, please ensure the green READY indicator is illuminated. Only then will the steamer produce steam. Secondly, make sure that the cup used for frothing milk is the correct size. Use a high and narrow cup, or the stainless steel milk frothing cup provided with your purchase. Lastly, only use whole milk or half-skimmed milk. Skimmed milk does not froth well.
